Buster Jr.’s Compatibility: Dogs - He’s happiest as your one and only pup Cats - Not a good fit Kids - Yes, 10 and up Buster Jr. has a nose full of freckles and a one-track mind the second a ball comes out. He’ll leap after it with springs in his feet, and if you toss him a treat, he’ll snag it clean out of the air. He’s also the rare dog who turns his nose up at peanut butter. Cheese, on the other hand, is a whole different story! This boy LOVES his toys. His favorite way to play is flopped over on his back, wrestling his toy from upside down, and it is the cutest thing you’ll see all day. He’s perfectly happy keeping himself busy like that while you curl up and watch your favorite show. Fair warning, he might steal the spotlight from whatever’s on TV! He likes to take a minute to check out someone new before he decides they’re his kind of people. During one visit with a couple of our staff members, he wandered over for a careful sniff, started wagging, and then leaned right into their legs and popped his front paws up into their laps to give kisses. He’s a smart guy who already knows sit, shake, down, and stay, and he takes treats like a perfect gentleman. He’s lived with kids before and loved playing tug with them. Car rides are one of his favorite things, and thunderstorms don’t faze him one bit. After a good game of fetch, he’s happiest curled up close for a snuggle. Buster Jr. will be happiest in a calm, low-traffic home where he can soak up every bit of the attention. This athletic boy needs a house with a 6-foot fence, and he’ll head home in a martingale collar to keep him secure on walks. An adopter who enjoys positive, reward-based training will find a smart, willing student in him. Somebody out there is about to fall for those freckles, and Buster Jr. is ready to be theirs!
