Amelia’s Compatibility: Dogs - She’s ready to be the only dog in the house Cats - No kitties, please Kids - Yes Amelia is an easygoing senior with a short list of favorite things, and every one of them is delightful. She hops right into the tub at bath time and stands there like royalty while she gets pampered. Car rides make her day (her back end just needs a little lift to get in), and so do easy strolls around the block and a cozy nest of blankets to sink into afterward. A good scratch right above her tail is the fastest way to her heart. She sits nicely when you ask, and she’s very good at reminding you when it’s time for another treat. She spent years around grandkids who absolutely adored her, and she’s housebroken, too. Amelia is at her happiest with her people nearby, and being left alone can really worry her. A home where someone is usually around would suit her best, and a lively family counts just as much as a work-from-home setup. This sweet girl has so much affection left to give. Stop by HSHC, give her that famous booty scratch, and see how quickly she claims a spot in your heart.
