Meet Colt! He is a 1yr old brindle Pitbull terrier mix that weighs 29lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 10/23 as a stray. He is a very handsome boy, yet has been through a few scuffles in his young life. He has a few scratches, scars, on different parts of his body, including a missing patch of hair on the left side of his face. In time, and great care we will give him, most will heal. This has not stopped his loving personality. Sitting on the ground with him, he will come over to roll in my lap and even gave me a kiss! He walks ok on a leash too. He is bit underweight so he gets a bit excited taking treats, so we will help him gain that weight. He loves to chase toys but does not bring them back. Colts favorite hobby is laying in my lap or cuddling next to me for plenty of pets. Walking past other dogs barking at him he didn't show any reaction, yet we do always ask if there will be another dog in the home please ask the shelter for a dog test. He has such a kind soul that hopes he will find his loving family with a secured yard to play in yet live indoors sharing his loving with his human companions. Come meet Colt!
