The first thing I noticed about Nikita was how cute she is. The second thing that stood out about her was her stand-up ears. Nikita is a 1 year old 41 pound mostly blue American Pitbull/Staffordshire Terrier mix that came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 10/10 as a stray. Her grey eyes are imploring you to come and get her out of this noisy shelter. She misses the softness of a bed and the love of a family. She desires closeness and stayed close to me when I had her out in the yard….except when she was casually investigating the yard with her nose. It’s hard not to fall in love with her because of her pleasing personality. She’s very sweet, gentle, calm, friendly, loving, and attentive. She walks well on a leash. She’s an wants to be inside and cuddling close to her loved ones.
