Meet Cuzco, a sweet young guy with a big appetite, a playful spirit, and a heart that just needs a little time to feel safe! Cuzco can be unsure when meeting new people, but with patience, space, and a few tasty treats, he begins to show his softer side. He’ll thrive with a patient, active adopter who understands that trust is built at his pace and that sometimes the way to a dog’s heart really is through his stomach. Cuzco walks beautifully on leash and knows how to sit. He’s very food motivated, making reward-based training a great way to build his confidence and strengthen your bond. Just keep those counters clear—this clever fellow considers unattended food a personal invitation! He enjoys a medium-energy lifestyle with plenty of walks, play, and mental enrichment. Cuzco has experience with children and has reportedly done well in small-group dog daycare settings. He may live with another dog with thoughtful introductions and management, but he’ll need a behaviour consultation to help address his leash reactivity. His history with cats is unknown, and apartment living may be challenging, as close encounters with unfamiliar people in tight spaces can be stressful. Cuzco may also need help adjusting to time alone, so gradual separation training and a safe, comfortable space will help him settle into his new routine. When meeting new people, he does best when they give him room, avoid overwhelming attention, and let him approach on his own terms. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to grow with, laugh with, and teach that the world isn’t quite so scary (and that food belongs on plates, not counters), Cuzco may be your guy. With a little patience, a pocketful of treats, and a whole lot of love, this deserving boy has so much potential to blossom.
