May is a 3-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing just 8.6 pounds, with a beautiful black coat accented by lovely brown and tan highlights. She may be tiny, but she has a big heart and a friendly personality! No one is a stranger to May. She loves meeting people and is happiest when she can be close to her humans. May was found as a stray in Yuma and taken to the Humane Society of Yuma. From there, she made her way into rescue and is now enjoying the comforts of foster life. She gets along well with other dogs and is beginning to play with them, which is fun to see. I haven't discovered a favorite toy just yet, but she has plenty of affection to give! May has a good appetite and eats dry kibble. She accepts being taken outside for potty breaks and especially enjoys finding a sunny spot to stretch out and soak up the warmth. At bedtime, May sleeps through the night in her own little pet bed next to mine, but she also loves snuggling on the big bed, often burrowing under the covers. And don't be surprised if you hear a little snoring! May has that classic small-dog raspy cough at times, too, something her future family should discuss with her veterinarian. If you're looking for a small, sweet, affectionate companion who loves people, enjoys cuddles, and would be happy to share your home and your heart, May might be just the little girl you've been waiting for!
