Meet Mable ?? Some dogs make you wait to fall in love with them. Mable isn’t one of them. Just a week into foster care, this bouncy, affectionate Lab mix has already won over everyone she’s met: happy, wiggly, and full of life from the moment she walks in the room. She’ll greet you with enthusiastic kisses and get as close to your face as she possibly can, because as far as Mable’s concerned, there’s no such thing as too close to her people. She’s got that perfect Lab combination of energy and snuggles, bouncy and active one minute, a giant lap dog the next, always happiest right next to you. At around 45 lbs, she’s got some growing left to do, but her personality is already fully formed. Mable settles beautifully into crate life and sleeps soundly through the night (though she’ll let out a little whine if she hears fun happening without her!). She’s potty trained, walks well on leash, and loves nothing more than putting her nose to the ground and exploring. She’s already showing real interest in ball retrieval, too. She’s fantastic with other dogs, and in her short time in foster she’s also met cats, donkeys, chickens, and sheep with nothing but curiosity and respect. She’s whip-smart and extremely food and treat motivated, picking up new skills fast; right now she’s working on not jumping when she greets people and improving her recall, and making great progress. Mable is looking for an active, social family who loves long walks and outdoor adventures, then curling up together at the end of the day. A fenced yard would be a dream for her zoomies, and while she doesn’t need another dog in the home, she’d absolutely thrive with a canine sibling or a household full of people to love. If you want a best friend who’ll keep you moving, make you laugh, and then fall asleep on your feet, Mable might just be it. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies!
