Meet Bodie — A Boy Who Has Already Stolen So Many Hearts If you’re not familiar with Bodie from our Facebook page, let us introduce you to this incredibly special boy. Bodie came to us in really bad shape. At first, we thought he was battling “only” parvo. But as we learned more, we discovered Bodie also had an intestinal obstruction. Somehow, this sweet boy fought through it all — and he’s still here, still loving, and still ready for his next chapter. And now... Bodie is looking for his forever home. What we DO know about Bodie: He is incredibly sweet and loving He is a total sweetheart with the people caring for him He has already captured the hearts of everyone who has gotten to know him He still needs to be neutered He is heartworm positive — but that is NOT a death sentence! Just like the obstruction he recently overcame, heartworms are treatable. With proper veterinary care and treatment, Bodie can go on to live a long, happy, healthy life. What we DON'T know yet: At this time, we have not been able to safely test Bodie with cats or other dogs, so we simply don't know how he will do with them. And that's okay. We don't want to make assumptions or set Bodie — or his future family — up for failure. We believe in being honest about what we know and what we don't know so we can find the right match for this special boy. If you think Bodie might be your guy, please don't wait! Go ahead and submit an adoption application: https://penderhumane.org/adoption-application-form/ Bodie has already fought so hard for his second chance. Now we're hoping someone will be willing to give him the forever he deserves. Share Bodie's story. His person may be out there!
