Is Beau the one for you? Available to foster or adopt ** BEAU IS CURRENTLY AT THE TOWN OF HEMPSTEAD ANIMAL SHELTER AND REALLY NEEDS HELP!! ** Beau is a 2 year old German Shepherd with an extremely affectionate personality and penchant for butt scratches! Beau is a total love bug who absolutely loves being pet, so much so that he will lean right into you and politely nudge your hand for more whenever you stop. He warms up to strangers quickly with a soft, sweet gaze and wiggly body language, and he takes treats beautifully and gently. While he can be a bit anxious about loud noises or sudden storms, turning into a giant lap dog who wants to lean on his human for comfort, he is highly responsive to guidance and walks well on a leash with just a bit of eager pulling. Beau previously lived with two other German Shepherds and has a wonderful, soft disposition, but has been struggling at the shelter so now may not be the best time to make new dog friends. Because of his enthusiastic love for attention, large size, and his sensitive side, he is looking for a home without young children who can give him the consistent guidance and endless affection he craves! Beau is currently located at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. He can be adopted directly through the shelter and/or through AmsterDog Rescue, Please reach out with any inquiries by call/text to 917-689-8414 or by email at [email protected].
