Pinky is a gorgeous 2-year old male Golden Retriever who was found on Twin Bridge Road in the Little Hocking Ohio area along with his petite Yorkshire Terrier mix companion (The Brain) and brought to the HSOV on October 1st 2026 by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden. Neither Pinky nor The Brain were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped. Pinky has a golden medium-haired coat, a long fluffy tail, and a beautiful Golden Retriever face with expressive brown eyes and long floppy ears. Pinky and his companion "The Brain" are very bonded with each other These outdoor photos of Pinky and The Brain were taken on the afternoon of October 4th. HSOV Kennel Tech Emma Dahlgren accompanied Pinky and HSOV Shelter Manager Tracy Lynn Moore accompanied The Brain so that these best friends didn't have to be separated for their photo sessions. Pinky posed for several majestic Westminster 'Best of Show' poses while The Brain chose to scamper around for more playful non-serious poses (smile). Pinky appears to know some basic commands and sat on command when Emma asked him if he could 'sit pretty'. Pinky currently weighs 86 lbs and walks fairly well on a leash. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Pinky and The Brain were held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that their family would have an opportunity to reclaim them with proof of ownership. Surprisingly nobody called or came looking for this cute pair. Since they were not reclaimed, Pinky and The Brain went home with a foster family on October 5th 2026 who plans to adopt them together after they are neutered.
