Dog Finder

Woody (whose real name is Cronus) is a handsome adult male Hound mix who was brought to the HSOV on September 22nd 2026 by a Good Samaritan who found him on Newbury Road in the Little Hocking Ohio area. Woody was wearing a choke chain collar with a 2019 Washington County Ohio dog license tag which was essentially unreadable He was scanned for a microchip but none was detected. This sweet boy has a black-and-tan shorthaired coat, a long tail, and a beautiful face with dark brown eyes, tan eyebrows, tan shading on his cheek, a black muzzle, and large floppy ears. Thanks to HSOV Volunteer Angel Grosklos for spending time with Woody for outdoor photos at closing time on September 22nd. Woody decided that he would run laps around Angel for his evening exercise (which was actually entertaining and fun to watch) He decided to pause for still-life pictures when he noticed a beautiful black/white dog (Annie) stroll by Woody has a nice personality and loved attention. Woody had not yet stepped on the scales but would likely weigh 50 -55 lbs. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Woody will be held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Happy News for Woody!! He was reclaimed on October 20th 2026 and was happy to go home.
