NEW ARRIVAL FOR ADOPTION! AND WE'RE PROUD TO SAY WE SAVED HIM! ? Meet Jacques! Every week a shelter asked if anyone could pull him. No one did. So, when his time was up...we did because one foster offered to take him home! Jacques is a 3-4 year old, mixed breed dog who may have some pointer or setter in his genes. He weighs about 50 pounds and is looking so much better after receiving good food and vet care. Jacques is an intelligent dog who bonds very quickly with the people who care for him and looks to them for comfort and security. He does well meeting other dogs at adoption events but does't seem to care for "in your face" play styles. He wouldn't mind being your one and only doggie companion or sharing a home with another quiet canine. Jacques is quickly learning all the things a good dog should know in his foster home. He is crate trained and working on his housetraining and basic manners. Jacques' condition on intake told us that he hasn't had the easiest life. He's still a bit on edge and needs a kind and patient parent who will make him feel secure and loved. Jacque will bond quickly with a new family and pay them with years of love and loyalty! We are so glad we saved Jacque! Can you help us find his furEVER home! Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3 charitable rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, Va. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue.
