?? Meet Val (Valentine)! ?? Say hello to Valentine—“Val” for short—a sweet 3-year-old girl weighing about 53 pounds, currently looking for her forever home in Fresno. Val's journey hasn't been easy. She arrived at the shelter frightened and overwhelmed, but in foster care she has begun to blossom. Beneath her shy and timid exterior is an incredibly gentle, loving dog who simply needs time, patience, and understanding. Val is doing well with the other Dalmatian in her foster home and has discovered some of life's simple pleasures: cuddling on the couch, soaking up the sunshine, and playing with toys. Every day she gains a little more confidence. Because new experiences can be scary for her, car rides, busy walking areas, and loud noises are still stressful. Val has no aggression—when she's afraid, she simply tries to get away from what worries her. She will thrive with an adopter who understands that trust and confidence take time to build. Val's ideal home: A quiet, patient household A securely fenced yard A friendly canine companion Someone willing to let her adjust at her own pace She prefers to eat her meals separately from other dogs, but she's happy to share treats and snacks with her canine friends. At this time, her compatibility with cats and children is unknown. If you're looking for a gentle soul who just needs a chance to feel safe and loved, Val may be the perfect match.
