Dog Finder

Scout (TX) is an extremely affectionate male Dachshund mix with beautiful honey colored eyes estimated by our vet to be approximately 6.5 years old as of October 2026. He is very sweet and wonderful with people, children and other dogs. He prefers an environment without cats. Scout (TX)’s story began on the streets, where RDR NYC found him wandering with a large gash that required life-saving medical treatment. Thankfully, he received the care he desperately needed, and now he’s ready to leave his difficult past behind and find the loving forever home he deserves. A Dachshund mix, Scout (TX) has some of the breed’s most endearing qualities: a devoted heart and a wonderful desire to be close to his people. He’s the kind of companion who wants to be wherever you are, happily keeping you company throughout the day. He is very calm and enjoys relaxing on the couch getting belly rubs. If you are looking for a devoted companion and you can give him a loving, happy forever home, please apply online to adopt Scout (TX) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. Scout (TX)'s adoption fee is $500.00. All pets are current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
