"EDDIE" #7467 is a 8 year, 17lb neutered (11/11/26) male small terrier mix. He is heartworm negative. Vet exam notes normal for eyes, ears and skin. Additional vet notes: moderate tartar-recommend dental, also grade 2/6 murmur* Eddie is affectionate, curious and would be great in a gentle and loving family environment. He can be intimidated by large males, maybe it's because he is so small? He prances around the yard like it is nobody's business. "Ooooooh he's so cute" - office manager. If you would like to meet this little peanut, please call the Lake County Dog Shelter to make an appointment to meet him (440) 350-2640 *A Grade 2/6 heart murmur in a dog is a soft, low-intensity abnormal sound that is easier to detect than a Grade 1, typically heard on one side of the chest by a veterinarian using a stethoscope in a quiet room. What Grade 2/6 Means Loudness: It is softer than the normal "lub-dub" heart sounds. No Thrill: There is no physical vibration or "thrill" felt when placing a hand on the dog's chest (vibrations typically start around Grade 4 to 6). Loudness / Severity: The grade measures how loud the turbulence sounds, not how advanced or dangerous any underlying heart condition is. A Grade 2 murmur can sometimes accompany early-stage heart disease or be relatively benign.
