Toby is literally gorgeous with the best fluffy, waggy tail! He is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 43 pounds. Meet Toby, the young, dashing gentleman who's ready to capture your heart! This absolutely gorgeous boy is not just a looker but also brimming with intelligence and charm, but most of all, he gives the sweetest gentle kisses. He does have some submissive tendencies like rolling on his back exposing his belly and can be very hand shy like he has been hit. But with some love, patience and confidence building, he is sure to blossom. Toby has a light mouthiness, typical of his breed, often using it to seek attention or during play. His soft mouth is excellent for fetching toys, and he gently relinquishes them, proving how well-mannered he is. Toby is extremely smart, embodying the classic Border Collie personality. He’s very connecting and attentive, always eager to be part of whatever you’re doing. Sadly, Toby came to us heartworm positive, but he made it through his treatment wonderfully and is now ready to find his family. If you’re looking for a loyal, smart, and loving companion who understands the unique needs of herding breeds, Toby would love it if you came to meet him. He will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old. Toby is dreaming of a family to love and care for him like he deserves. If you are interested in Toby and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
