My name is Ellie. I recently was rescued from a puppy mill and it’s only been up from there! Over the last little while I’ve really been coming out of my shell and learning how to truly be a dog. I’ve learnt so far that my favourite things are being with my people, and cuddling. I’m currently learning what toys are, because sometimes I get the urge to chew. I’ve learnt to walk on a leash but I’m just so eager to see everything, so I do pull a bit. I’m getting better on the leash everyday! When I came to my foster home, I was not house trained at all. However, I rarely have accidents in the house now! I do not understand what pee pads are and how to use them, so it’s important for me to have quick access to outside. I live with cats in my foster home - most times I want to play with them, and sometimes I get slapped. But I don’t mind! I have not been properly tested with other dogs. Based on how I act when seeing other dogs on walks, I think I would do well in a home with resident dogs. However, proper introductions would be needed as I’m a little nervous in new situations. I am on a vet prescription diet for food allergies. It seems to really be helping my itchy skin - I'm a lot more comfortable! My adoptive family will need to continue this diet. Ellie is spayed, micro-chipped, vaccinated and heartworm tested (negative). Her adoption fee is $750.00 and will include all health records. You can also help out with these costs by heading to https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/346 3 and say it’s for Ellie !
