Dog Finder

Hi, my name is Hope! I am an approximately two-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing 24.5 pounds, and I’m ready to find a family to call my very own. My story started on the side of an expressway, where I was found all alone. Thankfully, someone stopped to help me and brought me to safety. They named me Hope—because that’s exactly what I was given that day. Now I’m hoping the next chapter of my story includes a forever family. I can be a little shy when I first meet someone new, but give me a little time and I warm right up. Once I know you, you’ll see what a friendly, sweet girl I really am. I am house trained and crate trained and do very well when left alone. I don’t have separation anxiety and am generally a very well-behaved girl. I do have one weakness, though—the kitchen pantry! If you leave that door open and I’m unattended, I may decide it’s time to go grocery shopping. So you might want to keep those snacks under lock and key! I absolutely LOVE car rides. Give me a window, a little breeze in my face, and I’m one happy girl. There’s nothing better than cruising along and enjoying life! I also love getting outside. I enjoy both walks and runs, and I’m a great leash walker. I don’t pull and stay right with my person. With my medium energy level, I’m a nice combination of adventure buddy and companion. Did someone say BALL?! Fetch is one of my favorite things in the entire world. I’m a total ball dog and would happily play with you. I also enjoy Kong toys, Bark toys, and pretty much anything else you want to add to my toy box. And I love the water! Maybe there are some beach days, lake trips, or other water adventures in my future. I do very well with other dogs and am friendly with them. I have also been around children ranging in age from 4 to 18 and have done well. I haven’t had the opportunity to meet any cats yet, so my people don’t know how I would feel about having a feline roommate. I am healthy, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccines. From the side of an expressway to searching for a family of my own, I’ve come a long way. Now all I need is someone to give me the happy ending I’ve been hoping for. Could that someone be you?
