Adoption Application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CPAR/Dog Betty is a 1-year-old, 46 lb beautiful brindle girl with a heartbreaking past and a beautiful future ahead of her. Rescued from an unimaginable situation of cruelty and abuse in Puerto Rico, Betty has endured more than any dog ever should. But her story isn't about what happened to her. It's about her incredible resilience and the second chance she so deeply deserves. After being rescued, Betty went to a board-and-train program where she began the journey of learning to trust people again. She is now living in a loving foster home with another dog she absolutely adores, and little by little, her sweet personality is beginning to shine through. Betty is still learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. She needs a quiet, patient, and understanding home where she can continue to build confidence at her own pace. Having a friendly, confident canine companion could be a wonderful bonus for her, as she finds so much comfort in other dogs. Betty doesn't need someone to feel sorry for her. She needs someone to believe in her, celebrate her little victories, and give her the time and love she needs to truly blossom. This beautiful girl has already come so far. Now she just needs a family to help her write the happiest chapter of her story. Betty is being fostered in Perry Hall, MD. PLEASE READ: Any dog that is house or potty trained will still need patience in a new home with new people and a new schedule. Please be ready to train ANY dog you adopt!
