Meet Remi — A Gentle Soul Ready for His Forever Home 1.5-year-old Terrier Mix | 15 lbs | Dog Friendly | Expert Cuddler Remi’s story is one of resilience, healing, and hope. This sweet 15-pound boy is Chelsea’s (Harper) brother, and when his family reached out for help, we knew we had to step in. Remi arrived in heartbreaking condition—covered in fleas, suffering from painful skin trauma, and anemic, likely from the severity of the infestation. Despite everything he experienced, Remi is incredibly loving. He loves to cuddle, nap beside his person, and simply be close to the people he trusts. Remi does well with other dogs but needs slow, thoughtful introductions to new canine friends and tends to do best with smaller dogs. His forever home must have another companion dog for him to bond with, as having a canine friend helps him feel comfortable and secure. He is also still working through leash reactivity on walks, so he needs a patient family committed to continuing to build his confidence and positive walking habits. At just 1.5 years old, Remi has his whole life ahead of him. He’s already come so far—now he just needs the loving, consistent home he deserves. If you have a friendly dog looking for a best friend and room in your heart for a 15-pound cuddle buddy, Remi may be your boy.
