Submit your application at www.wtfarmtn.org Inquiries, emails, texts, and calls will not move you forward in the adoption process. Visit Alabama's Facebook photo album for more photos: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1050705513905100&type=3 With the community's help, we saved a group of 4 Heeler Mixes from euthanasia in mid-2025. Meet Alabama, one of the lucky ones! Just a month later, he was already beginning to trust, explore, and engage with the world around him. Since then he has been fully vetted and graduated from training. He is now leash, crate and house trained, and knows basic commands. Alabama does well with other dogs and has been around cats and house/pet pigs with no issues. We would recommend teens+ given that Alabama is still a work in progress. Fenced in yard highly recommended. While this 6 year old is not quite ready to snuggle on the couch just yet, we know that the journey with him will be full of heart, patience, and deep rewards. Alabama is searching for a hero of his own. Someone who understands that healing takes time and love, and who's ready to show Alabama just how good life in a real home can be. Could that be you?
