Meet Kkotbun ?? Kkotbun's Personal News Account: @kkotbun2_ ?? English Profile: @_adogs_rescue
1. Medical History
* Neuter Status: Completed
* Microchip: Registered (Internal chip completed)
* Other Notes:
* Heartworm retest negative
* Missing one lower tooth and her lower right canine appears short and broken, but this causes zero issues with eating or daily life.
* Currently taking prescribed medication for dermatitis symptoms while monitoring her progress.
2. Rescue Story
Kkotbun arrived at the Gimje Shelter in the autumn of 2022 alongside her five newborn puppies. Despite the hardship of giving birth and raising them alone, Kkotbun remarkably nurtured her puppies into plump, healthy little pups. Deeply concerned that they would be exposed to infectious disease risks in the shelter's harsh environment, ADOGS stepped in urgently to rescue Kkotbun.
3. Personality & Characteristics
* Interaction with Humans: Being timid, she needs a bit of time to open her heart to people. When staying with a foster friend for a few days, she adjusted within 1 to 2 days, sleeping on the bed and going for walks together. Even when strangers visit the home, she gets along fine if given enough time. While she wags her tail and zooms around with familiar people, she gets frightened if a stranger tries to play by suddenly running around.
* Interaction with Dogs: She generally shows little interest in other dogs. During a recent walk, however, she quietly watched a dog friend and twitched her nose with curious interest.
* Interaction with Cats: She tends to get excited when seeing cats. However, during a recent vet visit, she showed no particular reaction when coming face-to-face with a cat.
* Separation Anxiety: With her independent nature, she rests comfortably and entertains herself when left alone. When left at home with someone other than her foster parent, she mostly sleeps or relaxes on the bed.
* Potty Training: She strongly prefers outdoor potty breaks. While she initially used indoor grass pads, she currently urinates on the grass pad but strictly reserves bowel movements for outdoors.
* Grooming & Hygiene: She isn't afraid of baths themselves, but she gets scared of being cornered into tight spaces or bathrooms. She has gotten increasingly accustomed to being held and stays cozy in arms after bath time. While she isn't fond of brushing or nail trims, she patiently tolerates them.
* Leash Walking: Through steady practice, her fear of leashes has completely vanished! When getting ready for walks, she wags her tail with joy and thoroughly enjoys sniffing her surroundings outdoors. She used to pull slightly on the leash due to her excitement for walks, but this has improved significantly with ongoing guidance and is easily manageable. She is gradually showing curious interest in passing people and unfamiliar dogs during walks.
* Motion Sickness: She doesn't hop into cars on her own and needs to be picked up. She previously suffered from noticeable motion sickness and vomiting, but her tolerance has steadily improved; during a recent 20-minute car ride, she only panted slightly.
* Biting/Aggression: She is a gentle soul with zero biting tendencies.
* Barking: She barked just once when first arriving at her foster home and hasn't barked since.
* Personality & Tendencies: She is timid and cautious, requiring a slow bonding process. As she adapts to her foster home, she is showing increasingly positive responses to humans and newfound curiosity toward new things. She gets frightened by sudden loud noises and finds being picked up from a standing position difficult, but she stays completely calm if you lower yourself to eye level before lifting her up.
