1. Health Condition
* Spayed.
* Microchipped and heartworm negative.
* Has some hyperpigmentation on her skin, possibly due to irritation caused by allergies, but has no health issues!
* After experiencing periodic vomiting and weight loss, she underwent a check-up and is now on a managed allergy diet. The exam showed no other health issues, and as long as the allergy-specific kibble is fed, there are no abnormal symptoms.
2. Rescue Story
* Mina was brought to the Gimje City Shelter and was very scared of people for unknown reasons. Due to this, she would be at greater risk of being put on the euthanasia list, which led us to urgently rescue her.
3. Basic Information
* With People: Tends to be wary of strangers, especially when someone unfamiliar enters her personal space, like her kennel or the playground area. However, when treats are involved, she becomes more active and circles around with interest. Once on a leash, she becomes a bit more reserved but still allows physical contact. With familiar people, she’s quiet and gentle — she doesn’t avoid them or show any signs of aggression. Doesn't refuse full-body touch, though she’s not the type to particularly enjoy it. Is a cautious little dog who shows affection in subtle ways, like gently touching noses when greeting or receiving treats.
* With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs. Is curious with new dogs and greets them with sniffs. Doesn’t fight and gets along well with familiar dogs, while she doesn’t pay particular attention to other dogs.
* With Cats: Due to high excitability, she requires careful supervision around cats. When she sees a cat, she will attempt to chase them, often by climbing the exercise yard’s wire fencing or dashing directly toward them. So caution is required.
* Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed since she’s living in a communal environment at our center. Sleeps in a kennel and relaxes even when alone at our center. May need a training refresher if she lives in a family home.
* Potty Training: Goes outdoor potty while residing at our center. Prefers pottying outside but makes occasional mistakes in her kennel while trying to hold in it.
* Hygiene: Stays still during human touch. Accepts baths and brushing nicely. Is patient enough to have her nails trimmed once her paws are firmly held.
* Leash Walking: Walks very well on a leash and handles walks without any trouble, even with people she is meeting for the first time. Even new volunteers can easily manage her. However, she may get a bit tense when encountering strangers along the way. Very rarely, she might spin around to show that she doesn't want to move forward.
* Nipping: Has no history of biting or snapping.
* Barking: When she sees strangers, she may bark while holding onto the fence; however, when approached up close inside her kennel, she tends to retreat and show a shy side. Also displays a bit of demand barking, especially expressing her excitement when she wants something she loves to happen quickly.
* ?Personality: Has timid and quiet personality and is a bit scared of uncomfortable places and collars. Possesses an independent, cat-like nature. There’s charm in her cute affection and smiles that she occasionally shows beneath her quiet demeanor.
