Meet Sammy – Your New Best Friend! 11 Months Old 50 lbs Neutered Vaccinated Corvallis, Oregon Sammy is a handsome, affectionate, fun-loving pup who is ready to find his forever family! We believe he's a Hound/American Staffordshire Terrier mix, and at 11 months old and approximately 50 pounds, he's likely close to his full-grown size. Sammy has already experienced three homes in his young life, through no fault of his own. Despite all these changes, he remains an incredibly loving, playful, and devoted companion. Our greatest wish is to find him a family who will love him for the rest of his life. What Makes Sammy So Special? He's a cuddle bug! Sammy loves affection, snuggling with his people, and taking cozy naps. His dream is to sleep in bed with you, but he'll happily settle for his own bed nearby. He loves other dogs! Sammy absolutely enjoys playing with canine friends. His ideal home would include another playful dog, but a family committed to providing regular opportunities for doggy playdates would make him happy, too! He's cat-friendly! Sammy gets along well with dog-savvy cats. He's a wonderful walking companion! Sammy enjoys daily walks and does well on a leash using his front-clip harness. He's got great house manners! Sammy is house-trained, isn't destructive, rides nicely in the car, and may bark to alert you but isn't an excessive barker. He just wants to belong. More than anything, Sammy wants to be part of a family where he feels safe, loved, and included. Sammy's Dream Home: We're looking for a special family who can offer Sammy the stability and happiness he deserves. His ideal home would have: No children. Sammy had an unfortunate experience with a child and would be happiest in an adult-only household. A securely fenced yard where he can safely play and explore. A home owned by his adopters. Another playful dog, or regular opportunities to socialize and play with canine friends. People who enjoy daily walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles.
